Join Us! Ann O's Social End of Summer Sunday August 23!
Massachusetts Nurses Honor Guard Ann O’s Watch pinning ceremony! It is truly an honor to serve with such a dedicated group of nurses.
Pinning our new volunteers to Massachusetts Nurses Honor Guard Ann O’s Watch is a heartfelt induction welcoming members into the ranks of this volunteer organization. During the ceremony, volunteers wear traditional white uniforms, caps, and capes, and recite a professional pledge to officially induct them into the guard. The induction pinning ceremony typically involves the following core elements:
Formal Attire: Volunteers gather in their ceremonial uniforms, which consist of white scrubs or dresses, traditional nursing caps, and the signature Florence Nightingale cape.
The Pledge: Members recite the modern American Nurses Association affirmation, binding them to the organization’s core values of Heartiness, Concern, Respect, Service, Support, Empathy.
The Pinning: Leadership or fellow guard members pin the official Nurse Honor Guard Lapel Pin over the volunteer’s heart. This signifies their official status and dedication to performing final tributes for fallen, or hospice nurses in the community.
Community Recognition: Our pinning event is a group setting and families of the volunteers are welcome to celebrate their commitment.
